The Mason Wasz Foundation is continuously seeking to raise awareness of different needs in Mason’s ever-growing community.
This list shows the ways we have raised money and who it was dispersed to.
2017
Our first year, in conjunction with the Algonquin Rotary Club, we held our Inaugural Golf Outing at Cary Country Club.
Through a combination of matching donations and direct funds raised, we were able to donate $4500 to Lurie’s Childrens Hospital in Chicago, IL
2018
The 2nd Annual Mason Wasz Foundation Golf Outing was held again at Cary Country Club and through efforts and money raised, the Foundation was able to purchase and donate a Flexmort CuddleCot to the Northwestern Medicine Huntley Hospital to give the gift of time to parents of stillborn children.
2019
We held an amazing event, Skate For Mason, on March 17, 2019 in association with the Fox Valley Ice Arena, Chicago Figure Skating Club and Basic Skills Committee.
The 3rd Annual Golf Outing moved to Redtail Golf Club and we added a third event at Color Me Mine in Crystal Lake, IL.
The Mason Wasz Foundation was able to donate $25,000 among Northwestern Medicine’s Caring Paws Program, Lutheran Church Charities’ K-9 Comfort Dog Ministries and to Canine Therapy Corps in Chicago.
We were also able to make a few smaller donations to local entities in need, as well.
2021
2022
The 4th Annual Golf Outing was held on Sunday October 3 at Topgolf Schaumburg, IL after a year and a half delay due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Our goal this year is to help spread awareness about the need and importance of organ donation in conjunction with Gift of Hope.
The Mason Wasz Foundation is committed to continuing to foster and grow the relationships we have made with our previous beneficiaries for the foreseeable future.
