Lisa Gorsage
Secretary
I was honored to be asked to join the board of the Mason Wasz Foundation.
When news of what happened to Mason became public, I was consumed with the innocent and precious little boy. I have known Melissa and Mike for many years and serve with Melissa on a figure skating board. “This just doesn’t happen to people I know.”
I have always wanted to volunteer, whether for a cause I am passionate about or for work platforms, because why not? It takes bodies, it takes people, and it takes heart.
The Mason Wasz Foundation serves to help the community where Mason was born, and the mentality to be a helper like Mason is infused in me like it was in him even for his short time on this earth.
I hope I can continue to make Mason proud by serving and helping to bring awareness of the “Little Helper Spirit” to our community and beyond.

Jeremy Villacorta
Treasurer
Jeremy joined the Mason Wasz Foundation Board through Mason’s parents, Michael & Melissa, who at the time served as youth hockey coaches for Jeremy’s daughter. As time developed throughout the years, family friendships ensued. The Mason Wasz Foundation position for Treasurer had been vacant, and when asked to help fill the spot, Jeremy humbly accepted.
Jeremy’s professional career is in Cybersecurity as an experienced global leader with a successful record of managing motivated, high-performance, and talented individuals.
Jeremy resides in the Northwest suburbs of Hawthorn Woods, IL, along with his wife Michelle and two children, Xander and Avery. The family enjoys engaging in outdoor activities, especially ice hockey and snowboarding.

Maxwell Wasz
Junior Ambassador
Max is in 8th Grade and loves talking about his brother Mason.
Mason’s passing crushed Max, as all he ever wanted was a brother. His formerly green-dyed hair was a tribute to his younger brother.
Max is an accomplished travel baseball player, an avid hockey fan/player, and recently started playing basketball and volleyball, where his team won State!
